DHC Talking Therapies celebrate 10-year milestone

On 21st September, our growing DHC Talking Therapies team gathered to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our mental health service in Surrey. A fantastic milestone that deserved to be celebrated with an away day and a rare opportunity for the team to come together.

Colleagues relished the chance to meet in person, share ideas, and exchange insights. The morning was dedicated to guest speaker Dr Lexy Rose from Balanced Minds, who shared her teachings about Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and helping clients to deal with their difficulties in a compassionate way.

After lunch, it was time to hear from some of the team – Anne Darwent (Clinical Lead and Counsellor at DHC Talking Therapies) and Nicole Crichton (Service Manager and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) – as they presented on the topic of how mental health is evolving as an NHS service and discussed how DHC Talking Therapies can adapt to these changes and continue to offer excellent client care.

The day ended with a very entertaining ‘whodunit?’ game of murder mystery. Congratulations to the joint winning teams for trusting their instincts and guessing correctly; with 12 suspects, this was no easy feat.

What better way to celebrate this momentous milestone than with a wonderful team who represent the future of DHC Talking Therapies, as we continue to serve the people of Surrey.
