Surrey Ultrasound Services joins DHC offering more choice and flexibility for patients

Jacqueline Jenkins, CEO of Surrey Ultrasound Services (SUS) and Michael Arnaud, CEO of DHC announce the integration of SUS, effective 2nd April 2024.

DHC and SUS have a long history of successful collaboration with the provision of ultrasound services at DHC Outpatient locations for nearly 20 years. The relationship is now being elevated and a seamless integration of expertise, resources and technology has begun to take place.

The acquisition of SUS marks a significant milestone in DHC’s commitment to offering diagnostic procedures as part of an efficient pathway for patients. For DHC Outpatient referrals, there will be more location options and greater flexibility. A local ultrasound service reduces the need for patients to travel to hospitals for scans, aligning with one of DHC’s primary goal as a GP Federation; to bring healthcare closer to home.

Jacqueline Jenkins, CEO and Ultrasound Services Manager at SUS, along with her expert team of sonographers and support staff will continue their exceptional service under the DHC banner.

Commenting on the acquisition, Michael Arnaud, CEO of DHC said:

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Jackie and her team to DHC. Together we aim to increase efficiencies, reduce waiting times and ultimately improve patient outcomes. We now have an exciting opportunity for future expansion of local ultrasound services, leveraging our joint expertise and local knowledge.”

The DHC | SUS ultrasound service will continue to be available at several locations across Surrey, ensuring continuity of care for patients and GPs.

Jackie Jenkins further commented:

“I’m so proud of everything we’ve achieved at SUS and the important contribution we’ve made to the healthcare community. The future is full of promise to take local ultrasound services to the next level as part of DHC. I look forward to developing my fantastic team as well as working to inspire and train others joining our profession.”
