As a provider of NHS care, DHC is required to prepare an annual Quality Account for submission to NHS Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is responsible for planning and commissioning health services for our local population.
Our Quality Account is a report that provides information about the quality of services we deliver to patients and how we have worked to improve these. The quality of services is measured by looking at patient safety, the effectiveness of patient care and patient feedback. DHC aims to continually improve and innovate through an enhanced governance framework and rigorous monitoring of our processes and the experience of patients across all our services.
We are very pleased that our latest Quality Account has been approved by Surrey Heartlands ICB. We would like to thank all our staff, clinical teams and GP practices for pulling together to achieve such high standards of patient care; the results of their dedication and hard work are reflected within the report.
Extracts from the Commissioner Statement, NHS Surrey Heartlands ICB:
“The ICB acknowledge the many areas of improvement and transformation Dorking Healthcare have made in 2024/25. The addition of two further sites in Epsom and Oxted and the onboarding of 23 clinicians across 12 specialties has allowed for additional services to be offered. This has supported the delivery of additional NHS services to the local population and assisted reduction in waiting times across the system.”
The ICB also recognised the following key areas of progress at DHC:
- Ensuring waiting times for Talking Therapies treatment remain within the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of 28 days from referral and that ‘Reliable Recovery’ is averaging 51%.
- The launch of additional outpatient services and clinics.
- The development of the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.
- The roll-out of a pilot Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) supporting patients at risk of hospitalisation from respiratory illness.
We’re looking forward to continuing our work whilst taking every opportunity to improve our services and the health of our population.
